I've been wanting to try out some traditional work lately, but couldn't really decide on a medium.. 'til tonight. I came across a box of pastels that I hardly touched, and decided to give 'em a try. Only ever used them once before... and that was back in 11th grade art class... and whatever it was I was doing turned out to be crap. Anyway, I decided to stick with white, gray, and black pastels for this drawing. This was about two or so hours of work straight. I used the tip of a thin paint brush handle to scratch some flowing lines into the picture, though only a few of 'em showed up in the photo.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
